Tube tone meets modern versatility
The Vox Cambridge50 opens up new possibilities in the world of modelling amps. Featuring advance tech like VET for stage ready tones and Nutube for that authentic tube amp character, the Cambridge50 is the embodiment of versatility. The Cambridge50 is built to cover a range of settings, it's endless features are complimented by a practical 50W of output power, making it a great choice for both live performances and home use.
Eleven refined amp models
VET (Virtual Element Technology) brings an unprecedented degree of realism to your sound, carefully modelling the way your wooden cabinet and 12-inch speaker interact with your playing.
With 11 amp models, including Vox classics like the AC30 and a variety of tube, high-gain, and boutique amps, this unit offers a diverse range of tones. It also supports acoustic-electric guitars and keyboards through its LINE mode, expanding the functionality for different instruments. Amp models include Deluxe CL, Boutique CL, Boutique OD, Vox AC30, Vox AC30 Top Boost, Brit 1959, Brit 800, Brit VM, SL-OD, and Double REC.
Eight effect types
The amp offers a generous selection of effects to shape your sound. You can use both modulation and delay/reverb simultaneously, with four effect types available for each, giving you a total of eight effects to choose from. This provides complete control over your guitar tone.
Modulation effects include chorus, flanger, org phase, and twin trem, while the delay/reverb options consist of A.delay, tape echo alongside spring and hall reverbs. A convenient tap button allows you to intuitively adjust the delay time and other parameters for precise control over your sound.
Custom Celestion speaker
The Vox Cambridge50 features a Celestion VX12 speaker that takes full advantage of the 50W output. The rear of the unit uses an open-backed structure, delivering the open and crisp sound that you expect from a 12-inch speaker.
Tube technology
Featuring Nutube, the next-generation vacuum tube. Using electro-luminescent technology with the same structure as a conventional vacuum tube, the Nutube has been featured in a variety of products from Vox and others.
The distortion and sense of compression that you expect from a vacuum tube perfectly capture the feeling of playing through a vacuum tube. In addition to the light-weight design that was once unobtainable by a conventional vacuum tube amp, the Nutube brings additional advantages such as being maintenance-free and more cost-effective.
Features for every guitarist
Cambridge50 is packed with functions to support the everyday guitarist. In addition to the built-in tuner, there’s an AUX input that lets you listen to an external audio source while you jam along with it, a headphone/line output with cabinet simulator that’s ideal for practicing at home with headphones or recording.
USB audio interface
The Vox Cambridge50 features USB audio interface functionality that lets you connect to your computer via USB and record the Nutube sound directly. In addition to letting you enjoy performing, this unit is perfect for integrating with your home recording setup.
Vox Tone Room software
The included Tone Room editor/librarian software enhances the Vox Cambridge50 by unlocking advanced parameters not accessible directly from the unit. It allows you to store and organize your settings in a convenient library. Compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android devices, the software provides seamless access via USB for easy editing and management of your amp’s settings.
Control with a footswitch
The optional VFS5 footswitch lets you use your foot to change programs.
When the footswitch is connected, program memories are expanded to eight types. This provides perfect support for your on-stage performances.
